I have dedicated my life to service and education. From working with organizations like growfood.org, the student conservation association (thesca.org), being a camp counselor, working in environmental education, and now pursuing a graduate degree in environmental education to hopefully use in conservation, and to serve underserved populations.

While I can't afford to give back financially (most of the work I do is as an intern with housing and a small living stipend) I do focus on buying used, local, and handmade goods whenever possible, even if it costs more. I live simply and in harmony with the environment as much as possible and look to increase this in my life, with an eventual dream in of living in a yurt or eco house of some kind, heating with a woodstove (most likely, especially if in New England as the second growth forest here benefits from thinning to help it age into a healthy, diverse old growth forest, thus I will make sure to use self-harvest or sustainably harvested wood), hopefully living off the grid, and homesteading in the sense of preserving and producing most all of my needs and shopping locally or bartering for other needs.

I can't wait for that day, I love simple living.
