. . . and I’ve already run into problems.
Tonight I made plans to go hang out at Hooligans, and we’re going to play board games. But what about getting drinks while I’m out? Does that count as buying stuff? I think it does. But while I’m not really purchasing goods (like jeans I don’t need, or a muffin at Starbucks), I’m still spending money on stuff that isn’t groceries or gas or some other necessity. But how can I go out and do stuff (which I REALLY need to do. I spend too much time at home, alone), if I can’t spend any money? I mean, sure, I can go there and get water…. but is that what I should do?
I went for a walk last night to get in my 10,000 steps, and I thought “crap, I needed new running shoes. Now I can’t get them for another month.” And since I’ve been running every day, that’s probably not a good thing. But since I’ve gone this long without them, is it okay to go another month? Or should I buy them because they’re a necessity for my physical health? I think I need someone else’s opinion on this.
